just till St. Patrick's day

I just got home from a road trip with my little sisters to visit our oldest sister, Brittney, and her husband, Matt, and their little girls Halle and Lola ( the sweetest cutest girls in the world)
 Me , Lola and Natalie
Lola doing some little kiss lips
 Me and Halle
 On the car drive
In Malibu at Malibu country mart

Being around those little girls made me think about having my own little children( again!)... that is going to be a lot of work! But, it is going to be a fun job.
I have been thinking about what kind of mom I want to be...and since My first holiday, Valentine's day, just passed...and I listened to the song " St. Patrick's Day" by john mayer a good ten times on the way to california, I have been thinking about being one of those moms who decorates for every holiday...and who always does a little something for her children on holidays...whether it is a heart shaped sandwich in their lunch, Green breakfast on St. Patrick's day, an April fool's joke... some sort of little holiday surprise for them. That will make life more fun and exciting.
The other thing I want to do is surprise them.. a lot. Some people don't like surprises..but I really like surprises ( for the most part) ( If I am really truly surprised) ( And If I didn't just roll out of bed or something haha) I want to surprise my kids...with little presents..things they wanted at the store that I told them they couldnt have...etc.

I remember wanting this coat from kids gap so so bad...It was this really fancy white leathered coat with fur inside and on the collar and on cuffs. My mom said that we couldn't get it because it was too expensive. I was really really bummed, because I wanted the coat so bad. One day I came home from school and There it was, layed out on my bed for me. Brand new. I was so so happy. I remember wearing it to school, but making sure that it never got dirty at recess or ruined at all. ( This was in like 3rd or 4th grade).

I was thinking about that on the drive home from California yesterday...I want to surprise my kids like that. What a fun thing to see them so excited about something.
I would love that.

I love that. And I love you. I love that you all came down! I love the holiday plans and kids (my gals anyway) LOVE little things like heart shaped pb and J's and pink pancakes. I remember Mom always drew a green shamrock on my cheek for St Pattys and I did it for Halle at school last year and all the kids loved it so I ended up doing it on her whole class. You will be an awesome Mom! xo
